COLOR FIELDS: An Instant Exhibition
The Opal Gallery
484 B-2 Moreland Ave. Atlanta 30307 (next to A Capella Books in L5P)
March 20
7-9 pm

Color Fields is an exploration of color through the lens of thirteen Atlanta photographers who have long been enthralled with Polaroid photography.

Each artist selected for the exhibition translates the medium in their own unique way by selecting a single color as a point of departure. The resulting photographs are installed throughout the gallery to create a color spectrum. Polaroid is often thought of as a tool of quick documentation, but these artists have expanded the use to create beautiful images in an instant.

Color Fields comes at the same time that Polaroid announces that it will close the factory doors and stop production by the end of this year, thus the exhibition has shifted focus to celebrate the beloved and dying medium.

Curated by Stephanie Dowda of Click Clique photography collective.

Featuring work by Stephanie Dowda, John Paul Floyd, Sonya Jilani, Lee Summers, Matt Pensworth, Leuwam Tesfai, Chris Carder, Justin Weaver, Neda Abghari. Erin Bassett, Emilee Heath, Richie Bearden, and Allyson Ross.
